Create the key at Bitget

Section titled “Create the key at Bitget”
  1. Sign in to Bitget on the web and open API Management.
  2. Create a new API key with a dedicated note such as Recalibr8.
  3. Create and securely retain the API passphrase requested by Bitget.
  4. Enable read access and Trade permission for the products your strategies need.
  5. Keep Transfer and Withdraw permissions disabled.
  6. Add every address shown inside the authenticated Recalibr8 connection flow to Bitget’s IP restriction when required.
  7. Complete email, SMS, and authenticator verification as requested, then copy the API key and secret into Recalibr8.

Troubleshooting Bitget

  • Passphrase error: verify the passphrase created with this exact key. It cannot be recovered; recreate the key if necessary.
  • Permission denied: enable read and Trade only for the needed products.
  • IP restriction fails: add every address shown in Recalibr8 to the key and save the Bitget change before retrying.
  • Connection form lacks a required credential field: do not combine credentials. Create a support ticket and include the exchange name and exact error—but never include the credentials themselves.
