Create the key at Bybit

1. Sign in to Bybit on the web. API keys are managed on the website rather than in the Bybit mobile app.
2. Open API Management and select Create New Key.
3. Choose a System-generated API Key.
4. Give the key a recognizable name such as Recalibr8.
5. Enable read access plus order/trading permissions for the account types your strategies will use.
6. Keep withdrawal and transfer permissions disabled.
7. If Recalibr8 requires an IP allowlist, enter every address shown in the authenticated Recalibr8 connection flow.
8. Complete Bybit’s two-factor verification, copy the key and secret, and enter them in Recalibr8.

Note

Bybit may restrict new accounts from creating API keys for a waiting period and may change key-expiry behavior based on whether an IP restriction is configured. Follow the current notice shown in Bybit API Management.

Troubleshooting Bybit

• Key creation is unavailable: use the Bybit website and check whether your account is in a new-account waiting period.
• Permission denied: enable account/read and the relevant Spot or derivatives trading scopes without enabling withdrawals.
• IP mismatch: update the API key allowlist with the addresses shown by Recalibr8.
• Expired key: create a replacement key, connect it, then revoke the old key.
